HaloNiko began as the project of Niko Avgoustino, from the Ionian island of Zakynthos, and his Javanese wife Kika, who put Greek home cooking and Indonesian dishes side by side on one menu. This Express outlet, on the ground floor of Graha CIMB Niaga on Jalan Jenderal Sudirman, is the grab-and-go version, built for office workers in the SCBD and Senayan towers.
Go for the Greek side: chicken gyros and lamb souvlaki in warm pita with tzatziki, spanakopita and kimado pita, yemista, or a mezze plate with grilled octopus. Loukoumades and a Greek coffee finish things off. Javanese plates such as beef satay are there too if your table is split.
It suits a quick weekday lunch or an early breakfast near the office rather than a long dinner, and it opens from 7:30am. Weekend hours are shorter, so check before making a special trip. The original HaloNiko restaurant in Pejaten, South Jakarta, has closed, and this is the only outlet we can confirm is still trading.
Hours and prices change, so please confirm with the restaurant before you go.

Popular tables go fast at weekends, so book ahead.
