Greek Eat Where

Bali

Bali has a surprisingly large Greek scene, most of it in the busy strip from Kuta through Seminyak and Kerobokan, with a few standouts in Uluwatu and Ubud. Prices are low by regional standards and portions are generous.

Santorini Greek Restaurant started on Poppies Lane in Kuta and now has branches across the south. Nostimo Greek Grill and Milos Warung Souvlaki are quick, cheap grills, Mykonos has been on Jalan Laksmana since 2001 and Pallas is a family-style taverna in Seminyak. Estia cooks over wood fire on Jalan Kayu Cendana. In Uluwatu, AVLI is the most polished Greek dining room on the island and KALA is a Greek-inspired grill. Noema brings souvlaki and kontosouvli to Ubud.

Most of the casual places do not take bookings, but AVLI and KALA are worth reserving for sunset. Many serve pork gyros, so check the halal status on each listing.
