Bangkok's party-style Greek restaurant, now on the 25th floor of Column Bangkok, with plate smashing, fire shows and a...
Bangkok's Greek restaurants are mostly found off Sukhumvit, where they draw a mix of expats, hotel guests and Thai diners curious about saganaki and slow-cooked lamb.
Aesop's, in the Column Bangkok Hotel on Soi 16, is the best known, with flaming cheese, 12-hour kleftiko and a rooftop. Helena Greek Kitchen on Soi 51 is a warm neighbourhood taverna, and AVRA on Soi 35 cooks Greek dishes alongside a few Georgian ones. Further out, Rallis Greek Taverna in Bang Kapi is a small, family-run place with homemade pita and low prices.
Aesop's gets busy on weekend evenings, so book. The others are easier to walk into, though it is worth calling ahead for larger groups.
