Lombok's Greek restaurants follow the travellers, with one on Gili Air and one in Kuta on the south coast. Both are casual and good value.
Santorini on Gili Air is part of the Bali group of the same name, with gyros, souvlaki and slow-cooked lamb served steps from the beach and rooms upstairs. Elamu in Kuta Lombok is a relaxed taverna known for moussaka and lamb shank kleftiko.
Neither needs much planning, but Gili Air has no cars, so allow time to walk or cycle. Indonesia has no Michelin Guide.
