Anemelo is a recent arrival on the ground floor of Maxwell Chambers Suites in Tanjong Pagar, set up by three Greek hospitality professionals: Christos Parlapanis, Nikos Poimenidis and Constantin Andreopoulos. The name nods to a carefree, unhurried way of eating, and the fit-out by Kris Jensen Design leans on warm timber, louvred shutters and a long herringbone-fronted bar.
The menu is organised by region rather than by course. Start with taramosalata or kopanisti and pita, then spanakopita, dolmadakia or graviera saganaki with tomato jam. Mains run from grilled octopus with fava and prawn saganaki finished with ouzo to moussakas, giouvetsi with orzo and paidakia lamb chops. Drinks stay Greek too, with Assyrtiko and Agiorgitiko from Gaia and cocktails built on mastiha and tsipouro.
It works well for a CBD lunch, helped by a set lunch menu, and for relaxed dinners with friends. Expect mains of roughly S$25–39 before GST and service. Book through SevenRooms or WhatsApp; lunch is served noon to 2:30pm and dinner from 5:30pm.
