Fotia means fire in Greek, and the kitchen leans into it with a Josper charcoal oven at the centre of the menu. The restaurant occupies a shophouse on Duxton Hill, with a bright, rustic dining room and tables spilling onto the terrace on the quiet slope above Tanjong Pagar.
The mixed combo platter is the order for a group: skewers, kebabs and grilled chicken with peppers, pita and dips. Beyond the grill, look for moussaka, mosharaki kokkinisto (beef braised in tomato), gemista, and a lamb shank kritharoto made with orzo. Chicken gyros often sells out, so reserve a portion early. For dessert, bougatsa with custard cream or galatopita keeps things traditional.
It suits after-work groups, casual dates and anyone who wants to eat outdoors in the CBD. Hours are Tuesday 5pm to 11pm, Wednesday to Saturday noon to 11pm, and Sunday noon to 9pm; it is closed on Mondays. The owners opened a second Fotia in Marylebone, London, in August 2025.
