Skopelos takes its name from the pine-covered island in the Northern Sporades and sits in the alley beside the lawn at CHIJMES, the restored convent on Victoria Street. Inside, whitewashed walls, warm timber and rattan lamps set a calm tone, and a bar near the entrance mixes island-themed cocktails.
Build a meal from the pita and dips section, where taramasalata, fava and tzatziki sit beside double and triple dip sets. Feta saganaki, spanakopita and keftedes follow. The grill covers souvlaki and kalamaki skewers, from chicken to wagyu, as well as an open-fire lamb chop and ribeye. Seafood fans can order grilled whole squid, prawn saganaki, kakavia fish soup or the platter for four. Baklava rounds things off.
A two-course lunch set from S$28 makes it handy for office lunches, and evenings suit groups and celebrations. The wine list is entirely Greek, with labels from Nemea, Thebes and Ikaria. It opens daily from 11am to 11pm, and you can book through Chope or WhatsApp.
