Zorba sits on the Singapore River at Clarke Quay, done up in Santorini white and blue, with a long terrace facing the water. Run by 1-Group, it changes through the day: a Mykonos-style kafenio serving brunch and coffee on weekends, then a taverna from 5pm. Dogs are welcome on the terrace.
Dinner starts with dips, tirokafteri and taramasalata among them, and plates such as grilled whole squid, spanakopita and pan-seared saganaki. For mains, the mixed grilled platter brings lamb rack, chicken souvlaki, bifteki and beef sirloin, and the lamb kleftiko is slow-cooked with kefalotyri and vegetables. There is also beef or chicken moussaka, a 12-hour lamb gyros and a seafood platter for three or four. A set communal menu covers the whole table.
It suits riverside dates, families and anyone bringing a dog. Hours are Monday to Thursday 11:30am to 10:30pm, Friday to 11:30pm, Saturday 10am to 11:30pm and Sunday 10am to 10:30pm. Book through SevenRooms or WhatsApp.
