Greek Kitchen sits halfway up the road to Phuket's Big Buddha, on Soi Yot Sane 1, and is the only non-Thai restaurant on the hill. The open-air terrace is painted in Aegean blue and white, with wooden tables facing west over Chalong Bay towards Cape Panwa. Late afternoon is the time to come, when the light turns gold over the water.
The menu covers the Greek staples. Souvlaki and gyros come with warm pita and tzatziki, the moussaka is a dependable main, and spanakopita and Greek salad make easy sharing plates. Fried calamari is a good starter for a table. At weekends a brunch menu adds shakshuka and filo-wrapped cheese with honey.
It suits couples and anyone stopping on the way down from the Big Buddha, especially around sunset. Prices sit above the Thai places nearby, but portions are fair. There is parking out front, and staff speak good English. It is closed on Mondays.
Hours and prices change, so please confirm with the restaurant before you go.
